Less than two years of existence, several awards here and abroad and thousands
of satisfied and impressed patrons through the evenings have made Club Mwah an
entertainment standout. Actually,
Club Mwah is at the Venue Tower Boni Ave. Mandaluyong City. With its ambience
and its kind of service and entertainment, the theater cum-bar has become synonymous
to such terms as world class, opulent and first rate. "Quality
entertainment" is the dictum the club's vice president and administrator
Pocholo Malilin follows. "We don't shortchange our patrons. We give them
our best and this is out of commitment."
This
weekend (Thursday, Friday & Saturday), Club Mwah's Bedazzled 6 presents new
numbers reprise from dance sequence lifted from Chicago with Club Mwah's President
Cris Nicolas, the world-class choreographer-director doing a fantastic display
of passionate dancing. Madonna's
Vogue has Thai choreography complete with Thai setting and production design.
Fabulous! Tha African tribal
dance goes hip and contemporary, with jazz dancers and with ethnic costumes in
novel and highly creative design. With ostriches and humor. Follies
de Mwah goes to Seoul Korea with a Sakura Flower Festival. Very Asian. Then the
Shirley Bassey's Goldfinger and Madonna's Die Another Day numbers with dazzling
performers. What do you say, Ian Fleming? The
most lavish number in Bedazzled 6 is their version of Miss Saigon with an impressive
production design - a helicopter in mid-air and GIs in military garb. How's
this for a grand finale, I am What We Are with gender-bending dancers in doble-cara
costumes. Mind-boggling. What a sight. Seque to the dazzling curtain call with
the performers in all opulence parading down the lighted staircase. Club
Mwah continues to live up to its reputation as an upscale entertainment venue
doubling as a party place, with a touch of Las Vegas and Moulin Rouge in Philippine
setting. For reservations, please call 532-2826 / 535-7943. Lavish
costumes, excellent choreography as well as its choice of music set design are
well crafted by Club Mwah artistic director - president Cris Nicolas. This
theater cum-bar has been the favorite meeting place on weekends for professions,
businessmen and show people. Yes, celebrities like Sharon Cuneta, Aga Muhlach,
Charlene Gonzales, Pilita Corrales, German Moreno and even Piolo Pascual. Also
Club Mwah isn't just for celebrities. It is there for everyone for a happy weekend.
