Keep ‘Cell Block,’ add ‘Saigon’

THAT’S what Club Mwah has done to its staple revue, “Bedazzled,” now in its sixth incarnation and still mesmerizing.

“Cell Block Tango” has been a big crowd favorite from the start,” explains Pochollo Malillin, general manager. “For the same reason, we also kept the “Sarah Brightman” number by our star comic, Chaka.”

The costumes, designed by Malillin’s partner Cris Nicolas, have gotten better still, whether for the prim “Korea” or the flamboyant “Africa” (watch out for the ostriches). But “Thailand” takes the cake for the participants’ golden gear and the very creative set (it’s danced to a Madonna song, too).

Nicolas and Malillin are proudest of “Miss Saigon,” for which a “chopper” descends onstage, to the delight of club regulars and new clients.

Fusion Design
At first glance, serious jetsetters would certainly agree that Club MWAH! is a cross between two iconic landmarks namely Studio 54 in New York and the opulent Caesar's Palace in Viva Las Vegas.
